The Epiroc hydraulic breaker is designed for breaking light to heavy concrete structures, asphalt pavements, rock and reinforced concrete. The breaker runs on hydraulic pressure combined with a nitrogen chamber: the nitrogen acts as a spring that pushes the piston back, so the breaker strikes harder and faster than systems without a gas spring. The result is higher impact energy per cycle at the same hydraulic power from the excavator. For mini and midi machines, Epiroc offers the SB range built around the Solid Body concept, in which redundant components have been removed for a more compact and lighter design. From the MB range upwards, extensive protection systems are available that prevent blank firing and limit vibration transmitted to the excavator.

Request a quoteThe nitrogen chamber acts as a gas spring and pushes the piston back after every blow. This puts the available hydraulic energy to more efficient use and delivers high impact energy and blow frequency without placing a heavier load on the excavator's hydraulic system.
The integrated dust wiper keeps concrete dust and other debris out of the tool bushing and holder. This limits wear on the bushings and reduces the risk of the tool seizing. In intensive use and dusty conditions in particular, it contributes to a longer service life.
The floating tool bushing allows the tool to be replaced quickly and without special equipment. This keeps downtime to a minimum when tools wear out or a different tool type is needed.
