Epiroc SB hydraulic breaker

The Epiroc SB hydraulic breaker is designed for mini diggers and compact excavators from 0.7 to 24 tonnes. The Solid Body concept combines the percussion mechanism and the housing in a single solid body. As a result, fewer parts are needed and the breaker is more compact and lighter than conventional breakers. This makes the SB range well suited to demolition, groundworks and breaking out hard surfaces wherever space and machine weight are limited.

The SB range uses energy recovery to put the piston’s recoil energy back to work. This reduces the vibration transferred to the excavator while increasing impact performance. The integrated pressure relief valve and the maintenance-free accumulator also ensure reliable performance in a wide range of working conditions.

Epiroc SB hydraulic breaker are available for excavators from 0,7 - 140 ton.

Features

  • Solid Body construction

The percussion mechanism sits in a single solid housing. With fewer separate parts, the breaker is compact and light. That gives a good balance between machine weight, reach and impact power.

  • Floating tool bushing

The tool bushing is floating-fit and has a patented locking system. This means the bushing can be replaced quickly on site, without sending the breaker to the workshop. That keeps downtime to a minimum when parts wear.

  • Energy recovery

The piston’s recoil energy is reused. This reduces vibration transferred to the excavator, lowers the strain on the boom and other components, and increases impact performance at the same time.

  • Integrated overload protection

The built-in pressure relief valve protects the breaker against overload. This helps prevent damage when the excavator’s hydraulic settings are not an ideal match.
