The LaBounty MSD Saber steel shear for excavators is designed for cutting scrap and tanks. It is also used for recycling plates and cables at demolition sites. The steel shear is also used for cutting IPE and HEA steel profiles.
The steel shear features a patented, reversible nose blade, resulting in less maintenance, more uptime, and lower operating costs. This shear is available in a rigid version and with the Heavy Duty Rotation Group to optimize performance and offer 360-degree rotation.
The steel shear can be mounted at the end of the boom or as a replacement for the dipper arm, allowing for a heavier type of steel shear to be used on the excavator. The LaBounty MSD Saber steel shear is equipped with the InSight system, which, thanks to its sensors, allows for online data reading. The MSD Saber shear is suitable for excavators weighing between 3 and 21 tons and 70 to 150+ tons.
Request a quoteThe nose blade is reversible, so both cutting edges are used before replacement is needed. That halves the number of blade changes and lowers both parts cost and downtime per tonne of scrap processed.
The speed valve accelerates hydraulic flow during the opening and closing stroke. On a scrap yard with repetitive cutting, that translates directly into a third more cuts per hour.
The Saber can replace the dipper stick rather than hang from it. A heavier shear model therefore fits the same excavator, with no investment in a larger carrier.
